Account Manager | Los Angeles, CA

Red Carpet Events Public Relations, RedCarpetEventsPR.com – leading mid-size public relations agency, is hiring. We’re looking for a PR pro with 2-4+ years of experience in the enterprise technology or new media technology sectors. If you’re right for us you’ll have relationships with reporters at publications including Information Week, CIO Mag, Network Week, eWeek, World and the likes, and will have worked in sectors such as cloud, virtualization, mobile, wireless and/or other emerging technologies. Business press contacts and successes are a definite plus. You’ll also know the drill about setting expectations, writing great quotes/releases, and building effective working relationships with your clients.

You are an independent worker, organized, detail-oriented, highly focused on delivering results and have a proven track record of delivering meaningful media placements for your clients. Supporting multiple accounts, the AM must maintain a thorough understanding of client industries, and understand how to translate that knowledge into PR counsel to different levels of client contacts.

Executive Assistant | Los Angeles, CA

Red Carpet Events Public Relations is seeking a full-time Executive Assistant with experience and interest in working in a fast-paced environment. This position is primarily responsible for enhancing the Executive’s effectiveness by providing information, scheduling and management support. This position reports directly to the CEO and provides executive support in a one-on-one working relationship while maintaining a positive, can-do attitude.

-Plans, coordinates and ensures the CEO’s schedule is followed and respected
-Works closely and effectively with the CEO to keep her well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately
-Prioritizes conflicting needs; handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures
-Manages and maintains the CEO’s professional and personal calendar and screens emails in Microsoft Outlook on a regular basis, up to 500 emails per day
-Makes travel arrangements, including hotel accommodations, flight arrangements and car rentals for the CEO
-Establishes, develops, maintains and updates filing systems for the CEO
-Handle all CEO and COO issues as they arise
-Helps organize yearly executive retreat

Receptionist / Office Manager | Los Angeles, CA

Red Carpet Events Relations is seeking a full-time Receptionist / Office Manager with experience and interest in working in a fast-paced environment. This position is primarily responsible for managing the front lobby by greeting and welcoming visitors and notifying company personnel of visitor arrival, as well as managing the office and supporting the entire staff. This position reports directly to the CEO and provides administrative support while maintaining a positive, can-do attitude.

-Welcome visitors by greeting them, in person or on the phone; answering all calls and transferring or taking messages
-Organizes and prioritizes large volumes of calls for the entire company
-Managing the day-to-day operations of the office
-Negotiates the purchase of office supplies, kitchen supplies, furniture, office equipment, etc., for the entire staff in accordance with company purchasing policies and budgetary restrictions
-Maintains office supplies and equipment such as fax machines, copiers, and phone systems
-Receives, reviews and sorts all incoming correspondence. Distributes and handles external and internal mail efficiently and appropriately.
-Prepares all outgoing mail and packages and arranges for them to be sent out on time
-Supervises the maintenance and alteration of office areas and equipment, as well as layout, arrangement and housekeeping of office facilities

Paid Internship | Los Angeles, CA

Red Carpet Events Public Relations is seeking a full-time Paid Intern with experience and interest in working with lifestyle consumer clients. This person will assist one division specifically, in an extremely fast paced environment at an agency that specializes in representing brands in the food and beverage, baby and children and franchise industries. Candidates should have solid research ability, stellar writing skills and a strong desire to learn and work in PR. Please do not apply unless you have had some public relations experience and are finished with school. Candidates must be available for 5 days a week at $9/hour.

Assisting one division specifically and helping the publicists with any and all PR related tasks. Duties may consist of: helping with the creation of press kits and shipping them out, writing press releases, assisting with client updates, assisting with events, distributing press releases, creating press books, researching media outlets and creating media lists, etc.

-Bachelor Degree in marketing, public relations, communications or related field
-Public Relations experience (including other internships)

Accounting Assistant | Los Angeles, CA

Red Carpet Events Public Relations is seeking a full-time Accounting Assistant with experience and interest working in a fast-paced environment. This position is primarily responsible for providing accounting support to the Accounting Coordinator and management when necessary. Ideal candidate will have extensive accounting knowledge and experience working with QuickBooks.

-Perform accounting and clerical functions to support the Accounting Coordinator
-Reconcile employee receipts on a daily basis using QuickBooks
-Filing Account Payable and Receivable paperwork
-Ensure files are complete and maintained at all times
-Assist with research to help resolve accounting problems
-Compile and sort client invoices and incoming payments
-Ensure that vendor payments are mailed out on time
-Daily bank deposits
-Photocopying and sorting client and employee receipts on a daily basis
-Credit Card and Bank Statement reconciliation
